Portia de Rossi hated filming lesbian sex scenes with Joely Richardson.

The "Ally McBeal" star, who has been in a lesbian relationship with US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres for three years, hated playing Joely's lover in the latest series of US TV show "Nip/Tuck".

Portia, 34, said, "I hate gratuitous sex scenes. I'm a prude, I really am. I related to Joely's character so much more than my own. She was having areally hard time with her sexuality, and it was difficult for her to tell people she was gay. To hear her struggle like that was very emotional for me."

Joely recently revealed she really enjoyed her steamy sex scenes with Portia.

The 42-year-old British actress said, "I have no problems kissing women. It's not the first time I have done lesbian scenes. I have heard Ellen was jealous. She has been on set. She is great and Portia is lovely. Please don't think there is anything going on between us."

Portia has also confessed she was worried about being type-cast as a lesbian if she accepted the role, but was persuaded to take the part by Ellen.

She added to the USA Today newspaper, "My relationship with Ellen is so public, and I thought, 'Am I going to play a romantic lead again?' I had that one moment of, 'Does this mean I'll be typecast as a lesbian?' And Ellen turned to me and said, 'So what?' And I thought, 'Oh, yeah, right, so what?'"

"I was offered romantic lead roles, and I turned them down because thelesbian seemed more interesting to me. It's so crazy because I never faced any kind of discrimination. Here, it's all scripted, but it still stings. It was a very interesting thing for me to experience. I'd walk away at the end of the day not feeling very good."

Once again your information appears to be incorrect. I have read recent interviews given by Portia DeRossi on her Nip/Tuck role and nowhere have I seen any mention from her that she hated doing her love scenes with Joely Richardson. DeRossi has never publicly stated that. She said in an interview that she had given to the Advocate from 2005 that at that time she hated doing sex scenes. Obviously, she has had a change of heart considering the fact that she did not have to take this role on Nip/Tuck. She turned down 2 other straight roles to play the role of Olivia on Nip/Tuck because the role seemed interesting to her so she preferred it over the other 2 permanent roles that she was offered on 2 new sitcoms. So again, like in another article on your website, you are mixing quotes given by Portia from 2 or 3 years ago and trying to mix them in with current events.
