Nicole Richie may have a small appetite for food but she is hungry for legitimate success.
With acting and singing currently on the back burner - possibly because she has learned from Paris Hilton's mistakes - Richie is planning to invade the fashion world with her own unique style.
The socialite, whose career has so far involved topping best dressed lists and shrinking to the size of a pre-pubescent girl, has revealed to Britain's OK! magazine that she is releasing her own range of accessories.
The collection will feature everything from jewelry to sunglasses and even a style book, presumably to detail how to put the Boho look together effortlessly.
Richie said, "I'm working on a style book, plus I'm launching a jewelry and accessories line, a sunglasses line and my own perfume."
"The Simple Life" star joins stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilton and love rival Hilary Duff who have released successful scents.
In the same interview, the budding business woman blamed her recent fainting spells on high mountain altitude.
While she is filming her reality series in Los Angeles, and area relatively close to sea level, Richie blames the long days and altitude on her ill health - not her poor lifestyle.
She said, "The hours I'm doing are really crazy right now and we're working up in the mountains. I was getting my hair and make-up done one morning and I turned the heat up to 90 degrees, which I know I probably shouldn't have done - but I like it really hot in the room. I hadn't eaten breakfast and I asked for a bowl of cereal. But it had to go through 15 people to even get to me. I walked outside and I wasn't feeling myself."
On-set sources have confirmed that there have been around five separate fainting occasions, which could mean that Richie is skipping breakfast on a daily basis while she is "up in the mountains" of Hollywood.
