It is common amongst people that what you see is not always what you get and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese is a testament to that.
The sultry dancer and wife of shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has revealed that she has a much softer and domesticated side.
While many would imagine Teese's house to be filled with appropriate paraphernalia from both her and her husband's highly cultivated images, the stylish brunette admits that she is much more old fashioned that she would have you believe.
Rather than collecting stamps, knick-knacks or even the female preferred obsession of shoes, the dancer says she favorites the rare Victorian egg cups.
She says, "For breakfast I have green tea and one or two eggs in Victorian egg cups, which I collect. They're not very common in the US, so I look for them online or in little antique shops when I'm traveling."
While Teese puts most people's cereal and toast to shame, she admits that she branches out beyond the egg cups for her pricey collection.
She adds, "I also collect vintage china and tea sets."
And her obsession with things from yesteryear does not stop their.
The fashion conscious star, who has acted as a muse for designer Marc Jacobs, says that she dresses in her 50s getups even when relaxing around her house.
She says, "I feel more comfortable in a 50s slip with a couple of holes in it and a stain on the front than in a pair of sweatpants with 'University of Whatever' on them."
