Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe has spoken out about being fired by her star client Nicole Richie.
Super slender Zoe, who has been accused in the media of encouraging young Hollywood starlets to adopt an unhealthily thin physique, told tmz.com that the parting was a business decision.
Richie, who has been seeking treatment for her weight issues, said that she was looking to surround herself with positive people.
The fashionista told the celebrity site, "There has been a lot of speculation as to the cause of my parting with client Nicole Richie. The tabloid reports have no merit."
Zoe, who was responsible from transforming Richie from a trashy socialite to a best-dressed star, made a point to detail the good fortune in her own life despite loosing a client.
She said, "After trying to be a good friend to Nicole, we made a mutual decision to sever our working relationship. Changes are inevitable in any business relationship. I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful life, I have been married for 10 years and have been a stylist for more than 15 years and am lucky to work with such a diverse group of women of all shapes and sizes that inspire me everyday."

The petite blonde has dressed many of Hollywood's best-dressed actresses from Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan to Kate Beckinsale.
