Zac Efron has reportedly purchased a $50,000 vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunk for girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.

The 21-year-old heartthrob - who has been dating his "High School Musical" co-star since 2006 - was so keen to buy something special to mark Vanessa's move to her new $2.75 million house that he splashed out on the exclusive piece of luggage.

Vanessa Hudgens thought Zac Efron was "a really cool guy" when she first met him.

The "High School Musical" actress - who has been dating her co-star for over two years - was instantly attracted to him when they were introduced on the set of their first movie in 2006.

Zac Efron has denied claims he doesn't shower.

The 'High School Musical' heartthrob - who was recently accused of refusing to wash and was said to have relied on wet wipes when he got too smelly - insists the reports are entirely false, and he often washes twice a day.

The "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" star enjoyed the gathering at Los Angeles' Pace restaurant with his "High School Musical" co-stars Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman, as well as his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens and pals including "Hairspray" star Amanda Bynes.
