Zac Efron has proposed to Vanessa Hudgens to please her mother. The "High School Musical" actor reportedly popped the question to his girlfriend of three years because her mom Gina Hudgens doesn't approve of the couple living together out of wedlock.

A source said: "Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's mother has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman out of her daughter. She is old-school and doesn't approve of Vanessa living with Zac without some type of wedding promise."

Zac Efron says girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens makes him a "better person." The 20-year-old heartthrob - who met Vanessa on the set of Disney movie 'High School Musical' in 2006 - claims their relationship completes him.

He said: "You can't describe the feeling of being in love - when you meet someone who makes you a better person."

Zac Efron wants to meet Johnny Depp and "pick his brain." The "High School Musical" star is determined to shed his clean cut image and become known as a serious actor, just like his idol Johnny.

He said: "I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers. They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous. You have to have good foresight and be really careful. If you don't adapt and learn at a very young age, you can really mess up."

Megan Fox says she and Zac Efron are "the same person." The "Transformers" actress - who admits she is "obsessed" with the "High School Musical" heartthrob - bizarrely claimed Zac becomes her as soon as he dons a woman's wig.

She said: "Zac Efron is my obsession, we're the same person. We're not actually here, it's like Janet and Michael Jackson. He just puts on his wig and a dress, and it's me, and you don't know that. It's one of the greatest mysteries of all time."
