The woman claiming to be the mother of Michael Jackson's children has been given until August to solidify her legal case for custody.
Nona Paris Lola Jackson, who claims to be the biological mother of all the pop star's three children, was denied custody by a Los Angeles judge on Wednesday, but has been given until August 1 to back up her claims.
She attended the court hearing via speakerphone.
Nona - who is described as a "black Jew born in Britain" in legal papers - launched her case last October and is asking for child support payments and shared physical custody allowing her and Michael to spend several hours a day with the children together.
Nona even submitted a schedule demonstrating how easy it would be to make the arrangement work.
Her proposals would still give the "Thriller" singer full legal custody of the children, ten-year-old Prince Michael, nine-year-old girl Paris and five-year-old Prince Michael II, who is known as "Blanket."
Nona claims she and Michael were a "sexually active couple," and she is therefore the biological mother.
Michael's ex-wife Deborah Rowe is named on the birth certificate as the mother of both Prince Michael and Paris, while the identity of Prince Michael II's mother is a mystery.
Nona said: "Debbie's hospital records will prove that my kids are not hers because of DNA. I gave birth through the means of water birth because I am technically an herbalist."
Nona insists Michael's marriage to Deborah was never consummated and therefore she cannot be the mother of his children.
The woman's first custody bid was rejected by the court last November, and again on Wednesday, because she did not follow court rules. Nona could not demonstrate to the court that she had properly notified Michael and Deborah of the case, and she has not submitted proof she is the biological mother.
Her reason for this was: "I am not a qualified lawyer."
Representatives for Michael and Deborah have not commented on Wednesday's proceedings. Michael's representative Raymone Bain has previously dismissed Nona's actions as "ludicrous".
