"Sex and the City" actor Willie Garson, who plays Carrie's fabulous friend Stanford Blatch, will soon become a dad.

"I'm done with the process of applying and now they are looking for a child. I'm waiting for the call," he told Usmagazine.com.

Garson is hoping to adopt a boy from Los Angeles county, preferably between the ages of two and four.

The 44-year-old actor previously told E! News that the process wasn't easy.

"You know what, it should be difficult. It's not like buying a suit or another pair of glasses," he said. "It's a big decision."

So far, Garson seems optimistic.

"My kid's going to be the coolest," he said.
