Funnyman Will Ferrell was not out partying and celebrating the New Year like other big named Hollywood stars on New Years Eve.
Instead, the "Stranger Than Fiction" star was nursing the latest addition to his family, a son, born on December 30.
The actor and his wife, Viveca Paulson, welcomed Mattias Ferrell who was born just after 2 a.m. on Saturday.
The actor, who has a two-year-old son Magnus with Paulson, revealed to David Letterman that he was expecting a second boy.
When asked by the talk show host if he knew the baby's gender, Ferrell joked, "You know, I don't know if I do. I've gotta check my BlackBerry."
He continued, "Well, we do know, but I forget if we're telling people. I told the "Today" show we weren't telling them. But it's a boy."
Using his famous wit, Ferrell explained that Magnus was not coping well with the idea of a sibling.
He said, "He doesn't like it. He's in denial about it. ... I'm like, "You better live it up now, cause number two is coming and it's not going to be fun for you."
