Meg Ryan doesn't want the fame but she is fine with the fortune.
America's Sweetheart says that there is no positive side to fame - and all the premieres, designer clothes and gorgeous men around her won't change her mind.
The 45-year-old single mother, who adopted a Chinese daughter in January 2006, believes that fame is not what people build it up to be.
Unaware of the irony, Meg recently told a magazine, "When I first because famous, it was kind of traumatizing, actually. You just constantly feel like you're getting hit. I would say there's no real upside to fame. No really measurable one. There's money, but that doesn't necessarily come along with fame. People always say that they can get dinner reservations, but, come on, you could always figure out some other way to get dinner reservations."
The "When Harry Met Sally" star probably doesn't have time to eat at the best table in a restaurant these days anyway. With a two-year-old running around, Meg has her hands full.
The actress believes it was destiny that brought her and her daughter, Daisy, together.
She recently said, "I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing random about (the adoption). She is the daughter I should have. I never felt like I was on a rescue mission or anything like that. I just really wanted a baby. I was on a mission to connect with somebody, and Daisy and I got to meet each other in this way at this time. We are so compatible."
Meg also has a son, Jack, with her ex-husband Dennis Quaid. She is currently single.
