Although Victoria Beckham was looking out for her son's best interest, she can't help but think twice about whether or not she did the right thing. With her son, yes. But maybe not so much with her outlandish wardrobe.
It's been claimed that Victoria is racked with guilt after revealing that her son Romeo has epilepsy.
The former Spice Girls singer, who is married to British athlete David, revealed her middle son's condition during a confrontation with paparazzi at London's Heathrow airport last month.
Although Victoria only told the photographers about four-year-old Romeo's condition to protect him from their flashing bulbs - which can trigger violent fits in sufferers of the brain condition - she feels as though she has stigmatized her child.
A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "Victoria has been punishing herself ever since she revealed his illness and has been tearful. Not only has she inadvertently made her son's condition worldwide news, but she thinks he'll never escape the 'epileptic' tag."
The 32-year-old has also spoken to David about revealing Romeo's illness, reportedly saying, "You managed to keep it secret and I should have too. Why did I say it?"
Romeo - who has two brothers, Brooklyn, seven, and one-year-old Cruz - was diagnosed with epilepsy a few months ago.
He had previously been rushed to the hospital on four occasions after suffering from serious convulsions and fits. Doctors tested the youngster for the condition and, after discovering he had it, prescribed medication to control it.
Since Romeo's illness was revealed, nearly all the world's major paparazzi agencies have pledged not to photograph the child to ensure his safety.
