Amy Winehouse is proving to be really popular with rock groups. Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash believes the troubled "Rehab" singer carries the "torch for rock 'n' roll."
He says, "Amy's cool, she's carrying the torch for rock 'n' roll.
"I think she's great, not so much because of her personal choices, but because she's a great singer with a unique sound and style. And she doesn't take any sh**."
However, just like the other rock legends who recognize Winehouse's talents, the 42-year-old former "Guns N' Roses" rocker also has some word of advise for the Grammy Award-winning singer if she wants to continue onto the business.
He tells The Playlist, "She's on the verge of greatness, but it would be regrettable if her talent was overshadowed by her extra-curricular activities."
The 42-year-old reformed alcoholic and drug addict had his fair share of substance abuse. He had notoriously delivered a speech at the 1990 American Music Awards appearing very drunk while holding drinks and a cigarette.
Winehouse, 24, had a brief stint at a rehab earlier this year. However, her photographs suggest that the singer is having relapse, though her rep denies she plans to go back to the facility.
He adds, "She's at a crossroads, I hope she makes the right decision."
