Rumor has it that aging rock group Van Halen is looking for a new lead singer, and they intend to find it via reality show, "Rock Star: The Series."

Previously, reps for Van Halen swore up and down that the group would not stoop to such a level, but sources say that after rival band INXS found their new lead singer from the reality show, they are now making a comeback with a hit album and sold out tour.

As for Van Halen, the group has had three lead singers since 1978: David Lee Roth, who left the band in 1985, Sammy Hagar, who quit in 1996, and Gary Cherone, who recorded just one album and toured with the band in 1998. The next season of 'Rock Star,' produced by Mark Burnett for CBS, is scheduled to air during the summer.
