Valerie Bertinelli Denies Eddie Van Halen Is In Rehab

Valerie Bertinelli denies Eddie Van Halen is in rehab. The "One Day At A Time" actress has rebuffed reports that her rocker ex-husband is in a rehabilitation facility, but refused to disclose his condition.

The 47-year-old current Jenny Craig weight-loss program spokesperson says, "The reports about him being in rehab are wrong. Eddie is sober. He's being proactive about his illness."

However, Bertinelli refused to impart more details regarding Van Halen's illness, which has caused the tours of band Van Halen to be postponed.

She says, "I don't think it's my place [to comment]."

Although she declined to reveal her ex's mystery ailment, she had been more liberal in informing everyone about their friendly relationship with each other and Van Halen's plans.

She says, "I talk to him about every other day. He wants to get back on tour. I think they'll be back on the road by April 19."

The former couple, who had been married in 1981, separated in 2001. Their divorce was finalized late 2007. They have a 16-year-old son together named Wolfgang, who is the current bassist for his father's band.
