Dax Shepard has turned down his World's Sexiest Vegetarian award.
The 36-year-old actor and his fiancee Kristen Bell - who have a three-month-old daughter, Lincoln, together - were named the World's Sexiest Vegetarians by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) but Dax admitted he is ineligible because he eats chicken.
He tweeted: ''I'm really flattered to be named 'Sexiest Vegetarian' with @IMKristenBell, but sadly I can't accept in good conscience because I eat chicken.
''I was vegan for a year, but that ended 6 months ago. I aspire to be more like @IMKristenBell, but I'm not there yet (sic).''
Dax and Kristen were the first couple to hold the titles at the same time.
Announcing the winners, a spokesperson for PETA said: ''It's a year of ''firsts'' for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard: the pair, who welcomed their first child in March, have just become the first couple to win the male and female divisions in PETA's annual Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest.''
Kristen, 32, beat off competition from such animal-friendly beauties as Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Tia Mowry - both of whom are vegans.
The 'Veronica Mars' actress who was vegetarian for many years before going vegan - a lifestyle choice which doesn't allow the consumption of any food made from animals or the use animal-related products - made the decision when she was young because she's such a huge animal lover.
The 'Scream 4' star said: ''I had a hard time disassociating the animals I cuddled with - dogs and cats, for example - from the animals on my plate, and I never really cared for the taste of meat. I always loved my Brussels sprouts!''
