Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been named the World's Sexiest Vegetarians
The actress - who has been meat free since she was 11 and is a practising vegan - and the 'Hit and Run' star, who are an engaged couple, have topped the annual poll by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
The lovers - who have a three-month-old daughter, Lincoln, together - are the first couple to hold the titles for sexiest male and sexiest female veggies.
Congratulating the winners, a spokesperson for PETA said: ''It's a year of ''firsts'' for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard: the pair, who welcomed their first child in March, have just become the first couple to win the male and female divisions in PETA's annual Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest.''
Kristen, 32, beat off competition from such animal-friendly beauties as Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Tia Mowry - both of whom are vegans.
Kristen who was vegetarian for many years before going vegan - a lifestyle choice which doesn't allow the consumption of any food made from animals or the use animal-related products - made the decision when she was young because she's such a huge animal lover.
The 'Scream 4' star said: ''I had a hard time disassociating the animals I cuddled with - dogs and cats, for example - from the animals on my plate, and I never really cared for the taste of meat. I always loved my Brussels sprouts!''
Dax joined her, and felt the health benefits straight away.
He said: ''I have fewer body aches. My skin looks better. I'm never starving, and I never need to ride the couch feeling completely full and disgusting.''
Previous winners of PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian celebrity contest include Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand, Olivia Wilde, Carrie Underwood, Prince, Natalie Portman, Leona Lewis and Alicia Silverstone.
