Britney Spears' mother has accused her former manager of trying to take over her life.
Sam Lutfi is suing Lynne Spears for defamation after she called him a ''predator'' in her 2008 book 'Through the Storm' but when she took the stand on Friday (26.10.12), Lynne stood by her claims and said he was a terrible influence on her daughter.
She said: ''He wanted to take over her life. He wanted her life to be his life. And [the way he dealt with the] paparazzi, that made him a predator, because they were all over her, in her house. She had no privacy.''
Sam allegedly told Lynne that he used to ''grind up Britney's pills ... [and] put them in her food,'' and she insisted everything in her book was true.
She said: ''These were his exact words and this was the story I told.''
Lynne also explained she was terrified about her daughter's state of mind but didn't call the police as she was unsure about what to do.
She said: ''I was very worried and I didn't know what to do, so I was trying to get her away from there.''
