Dennis Quaid is being sued by a man who claims he was nearly killed riding a horse on his estate.
Lester Wood, 70, alleges the 'Day After Tomorrow' actor gave his permission for a trail to be used on his estate in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, but blames its poor design for a sprinkler system going off, spooking his horse and causing a number of injuries.
The equine beast reared up and over, landing on Lester and putting him a critical condition in a nearby hospital
According to TMZ.com, he suffered concussion, a shattered pelvis, internal bleeding, broken ribs, a nicked liver, a bladder tear, a torn meniscus in his knee, fractured lumbar discs and a fractured scapula in the incident, and claims it cost him $500,000 in medical bills during the two months he was in hospital.
Lester was not wearing a helmet and was looking at his watch when the incident happened.
Dennis - who was last seen in movie 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' - no longer owns the property and has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
