Rufus Wainwright has got married.
The 39-year-old singer tied the knot with German-born theatre producer Jorn Weisbrodt in front of 250 guests at his home in Montauk, New York yesterday (23.08.12).
Following the ceremony, the celebrations continued at the Clam Bar in Napeague, where guests dined on local steamers and cherry tomatoes, lobster rolls and clam chowder before speeches from Marina Abramovic and Irving Benson.
The guests - which included Yoko Ono, Carrie Fisher, Lou Reed, Julianne Moore, Mark Ronson, jewellery designer Ann Dexter-Jones and artist Cindy Sherman were given a jar of local plum jam inscribed with 'Rufus+Jorn's Hochzeit'.
Rufus - who has been dating Jorn for more than five years - proposed at a restaurant in London in November 2010 while the pair were enjoying an Indian meal.
The couple raise 18-month-old daughter Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen - who the singer had with Lorca Cohen, the daughter of Leonard Cohen - along with the youngster's mother.
