Cheryl Cole doesn't think men can ''understand'' her.
The 'Call My Name' singer - who divorced her soccer star husband Ashley Cole in 2010 amid revelations he had cheated on her with several women - made the decision to surround herself with an all-female team until recently, because she felt she could communicate with other women better than guys.
She said: ''Sisterhood is really important to me. Up until recently, every single person on my team was female. I was surrounded by women, and I found it very empowering. It's only us who know how each other feels. Men don't understand it.''
The 29-year-old pop star - who is currently single - is looking forward to the next chapter in her life when she turns 30 in June 2013, and may even settle down to have children.
She added: ''I'd love a massive family. I'm from a big family, I've got 10 nieces and nephews. People have said that [I sound older than I am] since I was 12 years old. They'd say, 'You've got a seriously old soul on your shoulders.' I think maybe I was exposed to a lot when I was young.''
