Jon Hamm and his girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt were robbed while on a recent stay in London.
The 'Mad Men' actor was in the British capital to promote his new movie 'Friends With Kids', which Jennifer directed, when her handbag was snatched while at dinner and the key to their hotel room used to take items.
A source told Life & Style magazine: ''They were dining at a restaurant and Jennifer's purse was snagged by someone.
''That person took the hotel key in Jennifer's purse, which had the hotel name on it, and robbed their room. They had to contact the police, it was horrible.''
It is unclear exactly when the incident happened, but Jennifer confirmed an investigation was ongoing.
She said: ''What a mess. I'm not feeling great. It is under investigation.''
Jon's representative also admitted the incident had taken place but could not comment further.
Discussing their relationship recently, Jon confirmed marriage was not on the cards despite being together for 15 years.
He said: ''We've talked about it, and we never say never. But it seems to us that weddings are sometimes more for the couple's family than for the couple themselves.''
