Elizabeth Hurley has to make more effort with her appearance now she's older.
The 46-year-old beauty says reaching a certain age shouldn't mean looking worse and insists that 40-plus women should always look fabulous even though it takes more time.
The 'Gossip Girl' star said: ''I love women looking fabulous and I don't think growing older means looking less good. For me, it's less about trying to look younger and more about making sure you look your absolute best.
''Without doubt, once I hit 40 I had to make more effort.''
Elizabeth - who is engaged to Australian cricketer Shane Warne - also admitted her modelling experience has changed her outlook on beauty.
She explained to aMUSE magazine: ''When Estee Lauder approached me out of the blue and asked me to work for them I was staggered, as I'd never modelled before in my life. They taught me to make and appearance and now, eighteen years on, it's become a habit.
''I don't look glamorous every day as I work and have my son to look after, but I watch my weight, don't drink much alcohol, don't go out much and try not to bite my nails.''
