Christina Aguilera's make-up artist doubts she will keep her toned-down look for long because she loves cosmetics too much.
Scott Barnes - who has also made-up the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian - says it was his idea for 'The Voice' mentor to try a more subtle look, although he isn't sure how long the change will last.
Explaining the make-under, he told In Touch magazine: ''Christina didn't really want to change anything, but sometimes, too much of too much is definitely too much. I cut back on the bronzer and redefined her look a bit, while keeping to who she is.
''She has a very expensive voice and I wanted her look to reflect that.
''It was fun playing with her look, but at the end of the day, the girl loves her make-up!
''She's very opinionated about the way she looks, but she really likes the end result. She looks beautiful.''
The 'Burlesque' actress has previously admitted she finds it hard to stay with one style for too long because she gets ''bored''.
She said: ''I like to keep it fresh and interesting.
''I get bored and I'm an artist first and foremost. I'm from the world of making videos and touring and I love theatrics.
''That's why sometimes you'll see me with a hat, sometimes you'll see me just a little more subdued like today.''
