Ryan Seacrest was ''surprised'' Sacha Baron Cohen threw ash over him at the Oscars last night (26.02.12).
The 37-year-old TV presenter had an idea that the 'Borat' star - who attended the Academy Awards dressed as General Aladeen, his controversial character from forthcoming movie 'The Dictator' - was going to pull a stunt on the red carpet, but he was not expecting the actor to spill the ''ashes of Kim Jong-Il'' over him.
Speaking on his radio show, 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest', he said: ''I was surprised, but not surprised. I definitely did not know that he was going to do that.''
Ryan knew immediately that Sacha had deliberately tipped over the golden urn - which featured the face of the late North Korean leader - onto his tuxedo, but he managed to remain calm and was grateful for packing a spare jacket.
Recalling the incident, he added: ''He comes over and I asked him a couple of questions but ... you know that feeling in your gut.
''This guy isn't coming as the Dictator to not do something ... you know in your gut, you feel like, 'This is going too normally.'
''It was getting closer to my chest and then it tipped over. And it wasn't the wind. He spilt it on my tuxedo.''
