George Clooney has made some "dumb" career choices.
The 'Descendants' actor feels "lucky" that most of the work he did that he isn't proud of was made early in his professional life because few people remember the "turkeys" he has appeared in.
He said: "I've certainly made some turkeys along the way and made some dumb choices in my career, mostly early on.
"I'm one of the lucky ones who got to make a lot of mistakes very early on when no one was paying attention.
"I did a lot of terrible TV shows and was really terrible in them, but nobody really noticed."
The 50-year-old star also admitted he is currently enjoying writing and directing more than acting because they feel more creative so wants to make the most of the opportunities he is given.
He explained in an interview with the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I've had some success at writing and directing, and I like it. It's infinitely more creative than just acting and I have things I want to say and do.
"I feel like I've been given these keys and the ability to drive the old man's car and I know they're going to take the keys away at some point, so I want to drive it as much as I possibly can."
