Whitney Port to show at New York Fashion Week

Whitney Port will show her collection for the first time at New York Fashion Week in February.

The former 'Hills' beauty-turned-designer is thrilled to get the opportunity to showcase her Whitney Eve creations on the runway at the prestigious event, which last year featured brands including Victoria Beckham and Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B.

Whitney said: "My collection has grown so much over the past few years, and the next step for me as a designer was to put on my own runway show. I am so excited to show on schedule as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, and can't wait to show my new fall collection on the runway."

Whitney launched her collection in 2008 and says the label incorporates the best of Los Angeles and New York style which mimics her own personal style.

She previously explained: " It's really bright and really a mix of business sophisticate with a funky street-girl aesthetic -- the good mix of L.A. and New York vibes.

"My style is pretty eclectic depending on my mood.

"When I was living in New York, it was a bit more sophisticated and businesswoman-ish.

"Once I moved back to LA, it became easy-going and comfortable.

"These days, it's all about comfort. When I have to get dressed up I do, but I feel like I wear a good mix of sharp New York and laid-back LA."
