Arnold Schwarzenegger was injured on the set of his new film after a stunt mishap.
The 64-year-old action legend had to receive medical attention for a nasty gash to his forehead and filming was halted on contemporary Western 'The Last Stand' yesterday (17.11.11) while he was treated.
Posting a photo on his twitter page of his injury, he tweeted: "Got a little banged up on set today. Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!"
Schwarzenegger - who did not reveal any details of how the accident happened - has been shooting the movie in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in it he plays a small town sheriff who takes on a drug kingpin.
The Hollywood star returned to acting after leaving office as the Governor of California in January.
Since filming started on 'The Last Stand', Schwarzenegger has been keeping his fans updated on his time Albuquerque with regular twitter updates.
In on post earlier this month, he wrote: "Albuquerque is getting cold, so I bought some warm clothes for my crew today. Thanks to the employees who helped me!"
Schwarzenegger split from his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver in May after it was revealed he had fathered a secret child with the couple's housekeeper Mildred 'Patty' Baena.
