Patricia Field would never force a celebrity to wear something they didn't feel comfortable in.
The 'Sex and the City' stylist says it's important to respect other people's decisions and not try and get the upper hand on them by putting them in clothes they don't like.
She said: "I never try to force anyone to do anything they don't want to do. It isn't a battle of egos; you just have to respect the person you're working with. Yes, you're helping them create a character but they are a person, with taste, with insecurities. It's important to know who you're working with, take advantage of the positive things they are and let go of the negatives."
Patricia is known for her own distinctive look but she insists she would never change her appearance.
She told Stylist magazine: "If I look 'different', there's always an intelligent reason for so. My hair is red because the alternative would be gray. My skin is olive and a warmer hair color is more flattering. There's a logic to it. Also, it's strong color, and I am strong. With red hair people recognize me easily. You are not going to forget me!"
