Emma Stone is not afraid of "looking like a moron".
The 22-year-old actress - who is best known for comedy roles in movies including 'Superbad' and 'Easy A' - insists she is not like most other Hollywood professionals as she is not worried about playing up to her image and doesn't always want to be sexy.
She said: "I think a lot of female actors have a real fear of not looking their best. They learn to prize their vanity over a role in which they have to look like a moron.
"They're worried they'll damage their sex appeal. Thankfully, I have no problem looking like a moron!"
However, the 'Help' star - who is rumored to be dating 'The Amazing Spider-Man' actor Andrew Garfield - is not always so easy to get on with, and she admits she can sometimes shut down those closest to her.
She told Stylist magazine: "The things that make you most mad about the world tend to be the things you hate in yourself. Sometimes I definitely shut people out. I can be the sort of girlfriend who crosses her arms, shakes her head and says, 'Nope, I'm not telling you what's wrong, I'm fine.' "
