Beyonce Knowles' mother Tina thinks Jay-Z will be an "awesome" dad.
The fashion designer believes her daughter and her rapper husband will be great parents when their first child - which is due in February - is born, but she doesn't want to reveal the little one's gender.
She told US Weekly: "Jay-Z is going to be an awesome [father]. They are very, very happy and just glowing, and it's great to see. She's going to be an awesome mom.
"Yeah, [I know the baby's gender]. But I'm not telling!"
Tina thinks the 30-year-old beauty will be forced to "slow down" when she becomes a mother for the first time, but she is currently "very busy" after recovering from bouts of morning sickness.
The 57-year-old House of Dereon designer added: "She had morning sickness. But she's over it and she's doing really good...she's very busy."
Tina is "excited" about the 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)' hitmaker's forthcoming arrival, but it will not be her first grandchild after her youngest daughter Solange Knowles gave birth to Julez, seven, in 2004.
She explained: "I'm the most excited I can be. This is my second time around."
