Magician Criss Angel is engaged.
The Las Vegas based illusionist is set to wed girlfriend Sandra Gonzalez, after he proposed while they were in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on September 7.
A representative for the magician told People.com: "The couple are ecstatic!"
The pair first met on the set of Criss' TV series 'Mindfreak' four years ago, and he proposed with a five carat diamond and platinum ring – worth an estimated $300,000 - which he helped design with jeweler Leayne Kaye.
The proposal wouldn't, of course, have been complete without an element of surprise, and Criss - real name Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos - had secretly orchestrated a huge fireworks show in front of their private 11,000-square-foot luxury villa, triggered the moment Sandra accepted.
No date has yet been set for the marriage, which will be Criss' second, after he was previously wed to JoAnn Winkhart from 2002 to 2005. He has also dated linked a string of beauties including Playboy model Holly Madison, Pamela Anderson and Cameron Diaz.
