David Hasselhoff's girlfriend has rejected two marriage proposals from the former 'Baywatch' star.
The 59-year-old actor-and-singer has been dating Welsh beauty Hayley Roberts since February when he met her in a hotel bar while he was in Cardiff for the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions, but he has failed to convince her to become the third Mrs Hasselhoff, despite popping the question first in South Africa and then in a dressing room.
He tweeted: "I tried to pop the question but she was having none of it ... #whereshouldipopthequestionnext (sic)"
He later added: "I popped the question in the dressing room. She's still having none of it! @hhayleyroberts (sic)"
David - who was married to first wife Catherine Hickland for five years from 1984 and filed for divorce from Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff in 2006 - has made no secret of the fact he can imagine the 31-year-old blonde beauty as his wife.
He said: "You have to keep the romance up, but we are just getting started. I loved being married and I have always been a one-woman man, despite what people say, and I like sharing success with people."
The couple have been house-hunting and are said to have their eye on a $1.9 million house in Lisvane on the outskirts of Cardiff, close to the former factory worker's home town of Glynneath.
Local estate agent David Ricketts, 46, said: "Mr. Hasselhoff has picked a great spot to look for an exclusive property. Lisvane is a typical British village with a pub, village hall and community spirit.
"I've lived there for 40 years and brought up three kids - he would have no problem doing the same with his Welsh young lady."
