David Hasselhoff's daughters were "concerned" about the age difference between their father and his new girlfriend.
The 59-year-old actor is currently dating former shop assistant Hayley Roberts, 31, and his children Taylor, 21, and Hayley, 18, admit they were initially worried about their relationship.
Hayley said: "We made sure we spent lots of time with her before we made a judgment. But it was obviously a concern."
Taylor added: "Naturally we were a bit unsure, but the more we've got to know her, the less of an issue her age is."
Despite their concerns, Taylor and Hayley are convinced their dad's new romance is "genuine" - because his girlfriend has never heard of 'Baywatch', the hit 90s show which David starred in.
Taylor told Closer magazine: "She didn't even know what it was. And I thought, 'Hallelujah!' And she genuinely didn't know - she wasn't pretending like other women who are just after fame and money."
Hayley added: "We think she's genuine. Our dad's been hurt so many times, we are just happy to see him so happy. He's the best boyfriend in the world."
