Will Young "really wants" kids.
The 32-year-old singer - who announced he was gay shortly after winning UK talent show 'Pop Idol' in 2002 - has admitted he is "very broody" and would like to have children, although he doesn't expect it to happen until he finds a long-term partner.
He told Mail Online: "I'm very broody and I really want kids, but I don't think it will happen until I'm into my 40s and in a long-term relationship.
"This job can make you very self-absorbed and I'd love to do something less selfish. I like the idea of doing the school run and then going home to write a song."
The 'Changes' hitmaker is looking for love but he doesn't want to rush the process, preferring to wait until "the time is right".
He added: "I'm ready for a new relationship, but it will happen when the time is right."
Will has previously admitted he wasn't a very "sexual" person until he reached his late 20s.
He explained: "I was terrified of being gay so I didn't really feel sexual until I was about 26.
"I wasn't really having sex, so I was quite inhibited. I feel like I've reached a place that I'm happy with, worked out things I will never do. It's taken me years to work that out."
