Mel B doesn't want to know her baby's sex.
The former Spice Girls singer - who is a mum to Phoenix, 12, and four-year-old Angel from previous relationships, and is stepmother to husband Stephen Belafonte's six-year-old daughter Giselle - wants the gender to be a "surprise", and she hasn't even bought many accessories in preparation for the arrival of the couple's tot.
She told People magazine: "It's nice to have something left to surprise yourself. You get everything neutral - not too much stuff until the baby arrives.
"I'm really so behind with all that stuff. With my other two, I just waited until they were born and [then I] sense what works and what doesn't."
The 36-year-old beauty is expecting to give birth in a couple of weeks and she is eager to meet the tot.
She added: "It would be nice to happen sooner rather than later."
Mel - who is a judge on the Australian version of TV singing competition 'The X Factor' - admitted she isn't concerned having another baby will add to her workload.
She said: "I got back [to Los Angeles] a month ago - my home visits [for the show] were over the weekend so they flew to me. My home visits were at home which was quite nice. I love work. I love doing what I do and if I didn't, I wouldn't do it!"
