Kelsey Grammer wants to split his children up.
The 'Cheers' star is locked in a custody battle over son Jude, six, and daughter Mason, nine, and in a legal letter sent from his lawyer to his ex-wife Camille, he proposes that they each take care of one child.
The letter, obtained by gossip website TMZ, reads: "Kelsey proposes... Kelsey shall have primary physical custody of Jude and Camille shall have primary physical custody of Mason."
The letter later states Kelsey wants to enroll Jude in a Chicago school, while Mason stays in Los Angeles with her mother.
Both Kelsey and Camille have previously applied for primary physical custody of their children.
Camille has said she will "fight for what's best" for her children.
She told RadarOnline.com: "I love my two children more than anything. I will fight for what's best for them. For me, it's important they have consistency and stability in their lives."
'Real Housewives' star Camille filed her documents asking for custody yesterday (02.03.11).
The documents claim a move would disrupt Jude's education, adding: "The parties' son, Jude, has repeated kindergarten twice.
"He is now working with tutors so that he can enter first grade at a public elementary school beginning in the fall of 2011."
