Ginnifer Goodwin has called off her engagement.
The 'Something Borrowed' actress - who got engaged to 'Super Troopers' star Joey Kern in December after almost two years of dating - and her fiance reportedly "broke up a few weeks ago", but plan to remain friends.
A source told People.com: "They broke up a few weeks ago but they intend to remain friends."
While no further details are yet available, the love split could prove to be bad news for Ginnifer - who previously dated 'American Pie' actor Chris Klein - as she recently admitted she is a "happier person" and more productive in her career when she is in a relationship.
She said: "I'm a better person in a relationship, and I'm a happier person. I need to come home at the end of the day and have it not be about me and my hair and make-up.
"And I think my work is more inspired when home is safe and sound and solid because what I do for a living is so bananas and so insecure."
