Nicole Scherzinger always tries to buy discount groceries.
The pop star is happy to splurge on designer accessories but refuses to splash her cash on expensive food items and instead prefers to see what bargains are on offer when she goes out to buy fruit and vegetables.
She said: "I grew up with no money so I still get the best bargains at the grocery store but at the same time if there's an Yves Saint Laurent purse that I want, I've got to have it right now."
Nicole's thriftiness also extends to her gift buying on occasions, and she claims her and her millionaire Formula 1 racing driver boyfriend Lewis Hamilton sometimes even make each other presents.
She revealed: "I love, love, love buying gifts. I try to make it sentimental and I get the extravagant stuff too. I love receiving gifts too. Lewis has given me beautiful jewelry and we make one another things too, that's probably the best thing."
