Dame Vivienne Westwood launched her new jewelry collection with a star-studded party on Friday night (18.02.11) as London Fashion Week got off to a stylish start.
The 70-year-old designer hosted the evening at London's lavish Wallace Collection to celebrate the new 'Get A Life' Palladium line, which features symbols from nature and pagan rituals and aims to raise awareness about climate change.
Speaking about the range, Vivienne said: "Get a Life is not about jewelry. Get a Life is about how we stop climate change and therefore preserve life for the next generation while at that same time get a better life. My focus at the moment is what one person can do. Stop climate change. Save the planet."
Guests at the Vivienne Westwood 'Get A Life' Palladium Jewelry Collection Launch Party included Jo Wood, Olivia Palermo, Lily Cole, Roisin Murphy, Jo Wood and BRIT Award winner Jessie J, who performed to the fashionable crowd.
As well as launching her jewelry line, Vivienne showcased her latest designs for Red Label yesterday (20.02.11) at London Fashion Week, with a royal family meets 'Alice in Wonderland' inspired collection.
Other designers to have already shown include Jonathan Saunders, Pam Hogg, Matthew Williamson and Mulberry.
