Jerry Hall is desperate to be a grandmother.

The 53-year-old former supermodel - who has four children, Lizzy, 25, James, 24, Georgia, 17, and 12-year-old Gabriel with ex-husband Sir Mick Jagger - can't wait for one of her offspring to have a child, and has already bought some baby items in preparation.

She said: "I don't know how I'll feel when they've all moved out. It's a horrible thought, them leaving home. But then you get grandchildren and I can't wait. I've got the pram ready in the hall."

Jerry's nine-year marriage to Rolling Stones rocker Mick ended in 1999 when she discovered he had fathered a child with another woman.

Although she has been on dates since the split, she is yet to find the perfect partner and insists she will only date a man her family approve of.

She said: "I would never inflict someone on my children who they hated. They would have to go. But I trust my children, and I don't think they would hate someone for no reason."
