DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, has died at the age of 36. He was found in dead in a Manhattan apartment on late Friday afternoon. At this time it is unclear what his cause of dead was, but TMZ is reporting that a prescription bottle of pills was found near his body.
His death comes as a shock to many, especially after Goldstein survived a plane crash last September after a Learjet he was traveling on caught fire after the plane aborted takeoff in South Caroline. Four people died in the crash that he and Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, survived.
Just four days before his death, he Tweeted, "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems."
DJ AM has battled previous a previous drug addiction and was slated to begin an intervention themed reality show for MTV titled "Gone Too Far." He began promoting the show in early August and was scheduled to be present for the whole intervention process of those involved.
