Mariah Carey Felt Like A Teenager Again In New Movie Precious

Mariah Carey was like a teenage best friend to her "Precious" co-star Gabourey Sidibe. The singer-and-actress - who plays a downtrodden social worker in the movie - bonded with Gabourey, 25, between scenes over their shared passion for fashion and hatred over the costumes they had to wear for the film.

Gabourey said: "Mariah and I would sit and talk about fashion and perfume and jewelry. It was like sitting in junior high and talking to your best friend. She hated her wardrobe! We all hated our wardrobe!"

Gabourey - who plays the title character Precious Jones, who is a rape victim - also has her sights set on meeting Oprah Winfrey.

She added: "I have plans to imprint myself in her life. She's about to be my fairy godmother. She has no idea!"
