ELLE Red Carpet Buzz: Michelle Trachtenberg

Michelle Trachtenberg’s latest small-screen role is a dramatic departure from Georgina Sparks, the vamp she portrays on Gossip Girl. In NBC’s new hospital series Mercy, she plays Chloe, a jittery novice nurse who cheerfully dons Hello Kitty scrubs much to the irritation of fellow staffers. At NBC Universal’s All-Star Press Tour party Wednesday night, Trachtenberg went a chicer route, opting for a nude-hued chiffon minidress with a bejeweled collar (she offset its understated palette brilliantly with a bright red pout).
