Cheryl Cole is heading for "total meltdown." The Girls Aloud singer is reportedly struggling to juggle her role as a judge on U.K. TV talent show 'The X Factor' with recording her debut solo album.

A source said: "She was given time off from Girls Aloud to have a rest but now she is working harder than ever."

"No one can deny the filming is grueling, but she might go into total meltdown when the live shows start in September."

Friends are also said to be concerned about Cheryl's home life with her soccer star husband Ashley Cole.

One pal said: "She worries about not spending enough time with her husband. We all keep telling her she needs to think of herself."

Cheryl, 26, has already filmed the audition rounds of "The X Factor" and is currently shooting the boot camp part - where the list of hopefuls is cut down to the semi-finalists - but has worried show bosses with her erratic behavior.

The source added to Britain's Star magazine: "Cheryl has been so tearful we've had to stop filming a few times so she could compose herself."

"When they finish for the day, co-judges Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue always suggest dinner or a few drinks, but Cheryl just wants to go straight to bed. She is constantly drained."
