Cameron Diaz says her late father's love "burns inside her".

The 'My Sister's Keeper' actress, whose dad Emilio Diaz died last year from pneumonia, continues to feel inspired by her parents' strong marriage.

She told FOX News: "It's a bond that is so true, so pure, and so powerful, it is the most beautiful and inspiring thing that I have ever witnessed - the eternal love that my mom and dad shared. It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me."

Cameron also praised her parents for supporting her career choices and for teaching her and her 39-year-old sister Chimene good manners.

The 36-year-old blonde added: "I was very fortunate to have a very wonderful, supportive family who instilled a great work ethic in me and to treat other people the way you want to be treated and it sticks with you.

"Teach your kids well." she added.
