American football star Tony - who started dating Jessica in November 2007 - reportedly called time on their relationship the day before Jessica's 29th birthday.
A source said: "She is heartbroken. She loves Tony, but it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show 'The Price of Beauty'. They decided to part ways. They were good together for along time, but I guess it wasn't meant to be."
Last week, speculation the pair had separated was rife after Dallas Cowboys player Tony was spotted partying without Jessica at Hollywood nightclub MyHouse on Friday.
An onlooker revealed: "He had quite a few girls stop by his dance floor table. Romo was sipping Grey Goose vodka and having a fun time with the boys."
Jessica had been planning to celebrate her special day with a Barbie and Ken themed party, but took to her Twitter blog to explain the event was off.
She wrote: "Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I love getting older!"
A source added: "She canceled her party because of this. But she's doing OK."
On Sunday (7/12/09), the blonde singer-and-actress took to her page on the social networking website again, writing: "Everyone needs to know that hope floats... grab the strings and pull it back to you. Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please Lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies and family rest. Bring all of us peace."
Although Jessica and Tony's representatives have not yet commented on their break-up, a friend of the 29-year-old sportsman insists the relationship had not been right for some time. The source explained: "It's been a long time coming."
Another insider added: "They go from one fight right into another, without a second break. It's always something with Jessica."
