Lindsay Lohan's life will "go downhill" if she reunites with ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. The "Mean Girls" star's father, Michael Lohan, is thrilled the 22-year-old actress is getting her life together following her split from the DJ earlier this year.
However, the 49 year old - who regularly voiced his dislike for Samantha, 31 - is concerned his daughter will go off the rails if they rekindle their relationship.
He said: "Lindsay has another chance now. If Samantha does come back in her life, it is all going to go downhill."
Michael recently pleaded not guilty at a New York court after allegedly threatening to kill his fiancee Erin Muller and himself when she tried to end their relationship.
A spokesperson for the Suffolk County District Attorney said: "He allegedly called Erin Muller on the telephone and stated that he would kill her and himself if Erin Muller left him."
According to the New York Post newspaper, Michael was arrested on April 6 for making the telephone threats on March 18.
However, Michael - who is facing a misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment - insists the incident was greatly exaggerated.
Describing the phone call, he said: "A person that Erin thought was her friend violated her in a way that I don't want to describe. When I found out the truth it didn't sit well with me."
"It's all going to be dropped. It's an example of how people twist things."
Michael is due back in court on June 10.
