Katie Holmes is "looking forward" to moving to Australia. The actress will relocate for three months this summer while she films "Don't Be Afraid" and can't wait to get started on the movie.
Katie - who will be accompanied by husband Tom Cruise and their three-year-old daughter Suri - told the USA Today newspaper: "I'm really looking forward to it."
"The movie is really character-driven. It's really her journey becoming a mother. In the midst of that, there are unexpected scares."
Meanwhile, Katie will portray the sister of Iraq war veteran Jose Pequeno - who suffered a serious brain injury in combat - in the 20th anniversary National Memorial Day Concert in Washington on Sunday and believes the role is a "gift."
She said: "It's important to tell these stories and honor the sacrifice and service of these men and women and their families. It's a real gift to be able to portray an American of such strength. I'm excited. I want to do justice to her story."
Jose and his family - including his sister Elizabeth, who Katie will portray - will be in the audience for the event, as will Katie's family, who she says are "very excited" about her appearance.
The 30-year-old actress will appear in the production alongside her "All My Sons" co-star Dianne Wiest and the Hollywood pair are delighted to be working together again.
Dianne said: "There is something courageous and deeply giving about Katie, and there is a modesty and grace to her generosity. The remarkable woman she plays in the concert will be well-served."
