Hairdresser-turned-producer Jon Peters is set to reveal ex-girlfriend Barbra Streisand's secrets in a new tell-all book. The "Superman Returns" exec producer says the actress/singer was molested when she was auditioning for "Funny Girl."
In the proposal for his book, "Studio Head," which was sold to HarperCollins for $700,000, Peters claims that Streisand could easily get men.
He writes in the book, as obtained by New York Post, "Barbra may have had her neuroses and insecurities, but getting men, the men every woman wanted, was not one of them."
He says that she had "life-imitates-arts affairs with Robert Redford on 'The Way We Were' and Ryan O'Neal on 'What's Up, Doc?' and had just ended another with Kris Kristofferson, then at his hunkiest."
Peters also alleges that he "wanted to kill" "Funny Girl" and "The Way We Were" producer Ray Stark when he learned that Stark, "an ogre of male chauvinistic casting-couch sexual entitlement, had molested both Lesley Ann [Warren] and Barbra when they were auditioning for him, and neither had ever really gotten over it."
Streisand, Warren, Redford and O'Neal did not return NY Post's calls for comments, while Kristofferson's rep had no comment.
Peters reveals that he had an affair with Sharon Stone before her "Basic Instinct" days, as well as with Kim Basinger, Pamela Anderson, Nicollette Sheridan, Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The producer dated Streisand in the '70s.
