The residents of Oyster Bay are making their new neighbor feel right at home. It probably helps that the new neighbor just so happens to be Angelina Jolie.
Jolie is filming her new thriller, "Salt," and has taken up residence in the Long Island town which has been buzzing with word of sightings of the superstar mother with Brad Pitt and their children.
Jolie even received Mother's Day gifts from local residents. One local, Dr. Lloyd Landsman, sent her a gift basket on Sunday welcoming her to the neighborhood.
Purchased from a local business, the movie star mom received a bouquet of flowers along with skin care products and cosmetics.
The family uprooted to the town once "Salt" began shooting. It films primarily in Manhattan, Long Island, upstate New York.
In the movie, Jolie portrays a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy who goes on the run from powerful forces trying to erase any trace of her existence.
The film is slated for a summer 2010 release.
